21LHCD4Z-1 Deborah Vails – Deliverance and Healing From Mental Bondage
Many people, especially leaders, are under a lot of mental anguish, a lot of pressure. But the Scripture is clear in John10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” God wants men and women of God to live victoriously. No matter what is going on around us, God wants us to walk out the Kingdom of God in the earth realm. In this message, Deborah equips the listener to experience that victory by laying a solid foundation so the believer can build up their Spiritual hedge against the attacks of the enemy which are sure to come. God is in control and His desire is that we submit to Him, to a place of surrender, of repentance to where we are totally sold out to God. So as the enemy is trying to squeeze some mentally, we must know that God will give victory. She profiles the “draining bat spirit”. A drainer is something that comes to suck the life out of you. But we are serving God and He is the giver of life. A draining spirit comes in many forms. Several examples of activities that will drain you are shared. Example: A negative person will say something to try and pull you down. Overcomers must understand, believe and appropriate what the Blood of Jesus is for them. Rev 12:10-11 is our remedy against the accuser. If you are accused by the enemy, make sure it’s not true. Take it to the Lord, repent, allow the Blood of Jesus to cleanse and when the enemy comes after that issue (if there was one) he will find nothing there! Some of the ways to build up our Spiritual hedge: 1) Spend time with God. You have to get to know Him. He will redeem the time and give you time to spend with Him. Don’t waste time. Satan is a master waster of time. He will do all he can to tempt you to waste time with distractions, interruptions, etc. We must learn to put a hedge around our time with God. 2) Keep a hedge around your marriage and your family. Guard your time with your spouse. Spend quality time with your family and make time to pray together. Don’t take your spouse for granted. Satan loves to break down this particular hedge. There is no greater hedge than God’s Word. 3) We must build a hedge around our minds. Rom 12:2; Eph 4:23 We must take a serious look at the things we are occupying our time with and make sure we are not being drained by them. If that is the case we must get rid of them. The devil wants us to lose our minds, drive us crazy and he has accomplished that with some success. A lot of times people are in mental bondage because of doors they have opened in their lives, the behaviors they have allowed to come to them. God wants us to keep those avenues closed where the enemy can come in. Worry, anxiety, and fear tear down hedges so get rid of them! Drinking and drugging tears down hedges around our minds. We must not allow our minds to run away with us. The remaining hedges Deborah teaches to build around are our bodies, emotions, finances, calling and vision God has for our lives, leadership, angels, children, unborn, youth, nation, and its borders, morality, your words, and relationships. She finalizes this teaching by sharing what we must do with our minds. Prayer and deliverance ministry concludes this awesome message This entire teaching message really needs to be put into a booklet. It contains so much truth, wisdom, and common sense to help the believer succeed in their Christian walk.

True to her calling to teach the body of Christ how to fight, Carla challenges the believer in the title of this message. There is a difference between prayer and warfare. Prayer is when you are addressing God. Warfare is when you are actively addressing the enemy. The minute you said “Yes” to Jesus, you joined His army! As the church, we should be actively engaged in warfare. This is not a flesh and blood war, it is a spiritual war. It is rare that a new Christian is ever told they have a spiritual enemy or are taught about the warfare we are in. In this message Carla wants the listener to be strengthened and encouraged and extend a call to action in this warfare we are in. She shared a testimony and gave an illustration of when God spoke to her in 2011 and said, “The warfare between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness is intensifying. And you are going to start hearing things you’ve never heard before and seeing things you’ve never seen before.” Using Luke 22 “but now”(vs 36) she shows how Jesus let His disciples know that the warfare was intensifying. The Word of God is a discerner (Heb 4:12) so if you are seeking the Lord for a discerning spirit, go deeper into His Word – it is the Discerner. And we are certainly in a time when there are many things being said in the name of the Lord, but are not of the Lord! She presents an interesting breakdown of 2 Peter, Chapter 1, to illustrate the character and integrity of a victorious, overcoming soldier of Christ. In Mt 11:12 it says, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force.” The “violent” means vitally active, energetic, and forceful. Carla states, “That should be the definition of the church!.” What is the “it” in that Scripture? It’s the Kingdom of Heaven. You are going to have to fight for that realm to have the Kingdom of Heaven manifested in your life on this earth. The word “force” means you go after it until you obtain it. Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” It’s on the earth. We can choose to live in that realm and choose to not be a citizen of this world. We can have the victory, on a spiritual level, that Jesus got for us, as we join ourselves together with Him in His accomplishment of destroying the works of the devil. That should also be our purpose and it has to be done in the spirit realm where He has given us His name, authority, and power. It’s time to begin to use that power and authority in every area of your life. (Luke 10:19) If we weren’t going to have to be concerned with the enemy then why did He give us power? Carla has learned to first go on the offense against the enemy as opposed to being in the position to defend herself and her family. God didn’t say, “I will remove the mountain”. He said, “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, YE shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” (Mt 17:20) Carla concludes this wonderful teaching with prayers of deliverance.

“And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.” Luke 5:17 In this powerful message the Holy Spirit hones in on not only healing but God’s power to keep us healed. Traditionally we go to the church for our spiritual needs, to the doctor for our physical needs, to the bank for our financial needs, etc. Mark 7:13 tells us traditions make the Word of God of none effect. “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:19 There are realms of provision in the Kingdom of God that our spiritual eyes need opening, in order to see them! A primary force behind the pandemic in 2020 was bondage to the fear of death. If we are not tucked away in our place in Him (Ps 91) then our peace is shaken – and many have had their peace shaken. Some have lost their income, loved ones, and much more. Death is a curse that came on all of us through Adam (Gen 2:17) That’s where sin came in, and death as a result of sin. Carla explains the slow process of death that works throughout our lives. Heb 2:9,14-5 reveals how Jesus, through His own death, destroyed satan who had the power of death and then delivered us, who through fear of death, have all our lifetime been subject to bondage. Hallelujah! Rom 8:11 We have His Spirit in us that has the ability to even cause that which is dead in our bodies to become alive again! We are encouraged to believe God for what He says in His Word and then to trust Him to fulfill it in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. When Carla prays for those with infirmities, she breaks the curse of death, commands the spirit of death to leave, speaks a reversal to any and all damage that has occurred in that person as a result of the disease or infirmity, and then speaks resurrection life into any cells or organs that were killed. Phil 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let YOUR requests be made known unto God.” This message concludes with targeted prayers for healing and deliverance from the bondage to the fear of death.
