Before getting into the meat of this teaching on freedom, Randy takes some time to explain the critical importance and need in the believer’s life for the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. As he begins to minister on freedom he addresses the question, “What does the Bible say about freedom?” and then proceeds to share multitudes of Scripture from both the Old and New Testament. He points to New Testament commands that take the believer far past what the Old Testament required – focusing on attitudes of the heart as well as obedience. All of the Old and New Testament moral laws tie back to the Ten Commandments. He suggests to the listener that if you want to be free, you never want to justify sin – there can be no “but’s”. Some of the many freedoms Jesus provided at the cross include the way for us to choose not to sin, the provision to be delivered from demonic bondages, the ability to die to self and the desire to serve God in complete surrender to His will. Extensive deliverance prayers and ministry accompany this teaching for those who want to be free.

A perverse spirit is a crooked spirit. One of the roots of scoliosis is a perverse spirit – when your spine goes in a crooked direction. But you can have a perverse, crooked spirit and not have scoliosis. It does not have to just manifest in the physical realm but is also applicable in our spiritual walk. Geri outlines some of the meanings of perverse which include being stubborn, obstinate, fixed in opinion, and much more. She then brings multiple examples from the Scripture of the many faces of a perverse spirit. We encourage you not to dismiss this teaching simply because of its title. You will be amazed to learn the many operations of this spirit that have nothing to do with what we typically think of as only sexually related. This is exceptionally balanced teaching on deliverance, being conformed into His image and likeness, and bringing distinction to God working something in or out of your life, as opposed to just blaming everything on the devil. It really boils down to taking accountability for your sins, repenting, and willingly submitting yourself to God. Extensive deliverance ministry concludes this message.

In the part of this teaching, Randy brings with great simplicity, a healthy dissection of body, soul, and spirit and uses relevant Scripture to illustrate all. We are three separate parts – like our Creator – each part is different but inseparable from the whole. The end result is to be completely conformed to His image and likeness with all of our three parts lined up with His Word, His Will and His Spirit. We have to learn to win the battle between our senses, our natural thoughts, and the Word of God. You have the deciding vote whether to be under God’s or the enemy’s government. Example: lustful eyes and thoughts – only look at people from the neck up! Forget there are any other parts to their body. (This will help with unholy judgments as well.) Concerning family order – husbands learn what your part is – wives learn what your part is and put your spouse’s part out of your mind except to pray. Your job is to get your part right! If you’ve dishonored your parents (even if they were dishonorable) repent so that it may go well with you. This message should be heard by everyone! If homes are restored to God’s order, what a transformation would come forth in this land. We must respond to the fiery darts. Randy gives a great analogy concerning this. 18LHCD9-4 – Deborah Vails – DEFEATING DEMONIC INTRUDERS
What would you do if you knew that a trespasser or a thief was trying to enter your home? You’d do anything possible to keep them out, would you not? Deborah begins to teach us about those things that the enemy brings to our minds and how we can stop that trespasser by renewing our minds according to the Word of God. In Genesis, Satan had already been cursed because of rebellion and he wanted Adam and Eve to lose their dominion also. So what did he do? He spoke very cunningly to Eve, placing in her mind something that was desirable…an idea. Then because they listened to the serpent’s deceit, they lost the authority that God had given. Now he tries to do the same to the children of God. We give him that right when we open doors. God gave us the power to do damage to the kingdom of darkness. In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, “Behold, I give you the power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Back in Genesis, we see that Adam & Eve had access to everything except ONE tree! So that’s what the serpent used to tempt them. Instead of listening to God, they considered an idea and followed through on what the serpent suggested thereby losing the dominion God had granted them – first by listening to the serpent then following thru on his suggestion.

Deborah began this service with prayer for our president and our country…a prayer we all should hear and pray! Then she begins to teach, going back to the beginning where God – Father, Son, and Holy Ghost – made man in His image…a body, a soul and a spirit. Man has so perverted God’s creation that it has come to a place where it is hardly recognizable. This teaching gives us an in-depth view of the difference between the fruit of the Spirit and the works of the flesh using many scriptures. She also noted that works of the flesh can become a demonic stronghold in our lives. How important it is to keep ourselves clean according to God’s Word! It’s dangerous to allow the flesh to operate in our lives. When we do this, the body is leading. It was never meant to lead. It was created to house the Spirit so when it is leading, it is the enemy of God. No flesh will glory in His presence. The meeting ended in mass deliverance with many being set free.

Do a word study on plague, disease, and sickness and read those Scriptures. You will see that God can and does allow sickness. Geri has seen so many miracles over reading the Word of God and repenting for the things God shows her. She goes so far as to say ninety-nine percent of the deliverance she has received over the last fifty-seven years has come by repentance through the Word of God. If you have not received healing after following the instructions in James 5:14-16, then ask the Lord to show you what the barriers are to your healing. For example, the word disease comes from “dis + ease” so any place you are not walking in peace can open you up to sickness and disease. Geri shares over 30 possible barriers to healing and most of them are detailed with corresponding Scriptures. Prayers for deliverance and healing are included. (There was an electrical problem during the recording of this message and approximately 10 minutes was lost. Don’t let that deter you from obtaining it. Excellent teaching!)
18LHCD9-7 – Nickie Pinson – CHRIST THE FOUNDATION
Nickie begins by telling us that this will be a hard message, comparing it to surgery which may fix something or make it better. 1 Cor 3:9 talks about laboring together with God, being God’s husbandry, God’s building. He points out that just because we are doing ministry doesn’t necessarily mean we are laboring together with God. It has to be His idea. He also points out that just saying a scripture doesn’t necessarily make it so in your life. Neither does doing what you see someone else do. Remember the 7 sons of Sceva. They saw Paul casting out demons and took it upon themselves to do the same. It didn’t turn out well for them! There are people that have taken it upon themselves to minister and it’s time for the people of God to discern the source…be able to know if something is of God. In His kingdom, He rules – Jesus is the rock, the only foundation and we must be sure to stay with Him, progressively being changed into His image. Whether we are ministering or being ministered to, it is God, in Christ, in us that does the work. Nickie uses many, many scriptures to teach this message.
18LHCD9-8 – Deborah Pinson – CONFESSING CHRIST
Read 1 John 4:2,3 What does it mean to confess Christ? There must be an inward reality of God. If our confession is outward only, we are not confessing Christ and we are confessing self. Actions, choices, and lifestyle, as well as words are the evidence of who enthrones our heart. Outwardly, anti-christ can appear Christ-like. However, while man may look at the outward, God looks at the heart. He originally created us to be in His image inwardly. We cannot worship Him in spirit and truth unless we have the image of Christ…an internal work by the Spirit of God. We must do battle with the spirit of anti-christ, our flesh. She says that those who do not deny flesh will follow the anti-christ in coming days…thinking it is Christ because they cannot discern. The flesh is a bigger threat than any demonic spirit. We are vessels that need inward cleansing, not outward polishing. We must remember that Jesus said it was His Father that did the work. It’s not the works – whether it is prophesying, casting out demons or any other good work. It is the source from which it comes. Are we being led of God, or might it be our own ‘self’? Rom. 8:8 says “They that are in the flesh cannot please God.”
