We need to know who we are in Christ and how to do spiritual warfare. Prayer is addressing God and spiritual warfare is addressing the enemy. Carla begins her teaching with the prayer of confession found in Nehemiah 1:5-11. She explains the meaning of generational curses and how they are like grave clothes which bind us and keep us from living the Christian life successfully. Unfortunately, the ministry of casting out evil spirits is being neglected in the churches. That is why Christians are so oppressed by the devil with spirits of poverty, infirmities, abuse, addictions, divorce and death, to name just a few. Throughout this teaching Carla guides the congregation in prayers to break the power of generationally inherited curses and gives leave to the familiar spirits that accompany them. These familiar spirits seek to guide us contrary to the plans and purposes that God has for our lives. She deals with the importance of forgiveness, the danger of judging others and how to break soul ties. This is stripping off grave clothes.

Isaiah 50 says, “God wants to give us the ear of a disciple so we will not be disobedient and turn back.” Having ‘ears to hear’ means having a hearing heart that seeks after the Word of God. Jesus says in Mark 4, “Take care how you listen because words are seeds.” If you listen to words that are contrary to God’s Word you are planting weeds in the spiritual garden of your heart. Not having ‘ears to hear’ is the root of all kinds of physical problems of the ears such as allergies, infections, fungus, and hearing loss. Sometimes hearing problems originate in childhood if someone is unable to forgive their parents for physical and verbal abuse. Judgment comes when we let the sun go down on our anger, but healing comes when we forgive our parents, even grandparents, and break the power of evil soul ties and familiar spirits. The Word says hearing problems parallel our not listening to God, but he who listens to life-giving reproof acquires understanding and the ears of the wise seek knowledge. Deliverance prayers follow this teaching.

Oh, wretched man that I am! We are rebellious, hateful, smart aleck, contentious people. There must be a way to over come the flesh and there is one. We are to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. Romans 2:2 tells us, “And be not conformed to this world; but be you transformed (changed) by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” More than anything, praying in tongues and reading the word of God will renew our mind in Christ. Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.” I Corinthians 2:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” With the mind of Christ we can overcome sin. Let this mind be in you. Personal ministry follows this teaching.

The plan of demons is to torment you and keep you from living. Familiar spirits travel down family blood lines through generational curses. These include sins such as sexual perversion, incest, abortion, child abandonment, murder, spiritual adultery (participating in witchcraft and the occult), which are some of the sins that bring a curse of death. Even if you have not ever participated directly in them, you will suffer the effects and consequences of the sins of your ancestors. Your blood line needs to be cleansed from these curses and the familiar spirits that accompany them. On the other hand, if you have knowingly committed these sins, satan has his greatest power in the area of your secrets. He will spiritually blackmail you. Confess and repent of these sins of disobedience and rebellion which keep you separated from God. Break the curse of death that has come upon you. Because of Jesus’ blood and death on the Cross, you are forgiven and cleansed of all unrighteousness and made whole. Deliverance prayers are ministered throughout this teaching..

Trauma is an overwhelming life event that renders one helpless or fearing for their life, interferes with abilities to cope, and is outside the range of normal experience. Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible event, typically followed by shock, denial, amnesia, unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships and physical symptoms. Traumatic experiences often remain in the subconscious mind so that people do not understand why they have trouble moving on in their lives. The spirit of trauma introduces confusion, insecurity, disillusion, sexual abuse, bullying, domestic violence, alcoholism, and addictions. If you see death occur, it can bring trauma. First responders and soldiers experience PTSD this way. Hidden trauma can stop your soul and spirit from maturing, resulting in arrested development. Allow God to expose those deep, dark, hidden places with His light and love. Get those trauma demons cast out and it will no longer hurt you emotionally to tell your story. Deliverance prayers follow this teaching.

Pride is like an iceberg. We can repent of what we see as pride in ourselves, but then some more floats up. Pride is the worst sin because it is the character of satan. The works of the flesh, the many manifestations of pride, are listed in Galatians 5:19-21. Pride is inordinate self-esteem, unreasonable conceit of one’s own superiority, talents, beauty, wealth, accomplishments, rank, elevation in office, it manifests itself in lofty ‘airs’, distance and reserve, contemptuous of others, insolent, impatient, haughty and rude treatment of others, vain, boastful, fond of presenting one’s own endowments or works to others in an advantageous light, showy, gaudy, intended for vain display, arrogant, the act of taking too much upon oneself, bold and confident to excess, dictatorial, overbearing. On the contrary, we are required to live and walk in the Spirit, nature and character of Jesus Christ, Who is meek and humble of heart. The fruit of His Spirit is listed in Galatians 5:22-23. Luke 2:25 “Simeon was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Ghost was upon Him. He came by the Spirit into the Temple.” Simeon and Anna knew that baby was the Messiah by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Today we need to be led by the Holy Spirit wherever we go. As believers in Christ, we are a pawn on God’s chessboard, a sign to be spoken against. Remember they hated Jesus without a cause and they will hate us without a cause. All who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution, that the thoughts of many hearts be revealed. When the Holy Spirit leads us, we are to speak prophetic words of knowledge. The finger of God must come through us individually. Whatever He commands us we shall speak and not be afraid of their faces. At times His finger will show us what great things we are to suffer for His name. You and I are set as a sign for a contest between Ishmael and Isaac. Our God will answer with fire on His altar, again. “The Lord He is God.” Personal ministry follows this teaching.
