There are some essential rules that must be obeyed if one is to survive as a Christian. Primarily, you have to always maintain an attitude of forgiveness. Your physical body was not built to effectively house the poison of unforgiveness, resentment, and bitterness. When you open the door to these invaders, you are literally inviting the “tormentors” to come and rule your life. (Matthew 18:34) Cancers can be a direct result of harboring unforgiveness. Anyone who has cancer knows someone who has it or is aware that this disease runs in his family will want to consider obtaining this tape. Perhaps there is a “curse of unforgiveness” on your family line. Many who have had the courage to admit they need to forgive have been completely healed of the deadly disease of cancer.

*There are many, many Scriptures telling us that God is a God of war. He says we are His battle-ax. We must learn and realize that we are in a war. We have to learn how to use our equipment. We are on a battlefield, but most of us act like it is a recreation hall – a place to play instead of fight. My goal is to be one of these overcomers, and deliverance is part of being an overcomer. We must learn how to be a deliverer and intercessor for the abominations in the household of faith. **Barnacle means something that attaches itself, or a thing hard to get rid of. These are the weights and the sin which doth so easily beset us (Heb. 12:1). These must be laid aside, or “stripped off” (Amplified) that we may be seen as bright lights – stars or beacons – shining out clearly in the dark world. This is an excellent teaching on dealing with besetting sins in our lives. Really a wonderful message on barnacles by Erma Miller.

*Some people are unthankful and always have something to gripe about. As Christians, we shouldn’t be that way. We can always find something to be thankful for if we just look! **We are unique individuals, chosen to carry the anointing of God. The anointing will draw all kinds of people and we must be able to discern the motives of those who come and avoid giving in to the temptations that would rob us of the anointing. We may also have to abandon some things to keep the anointing. Although Joseph was imprisoned for a time, the anointing remained and as a result of his ministry, he was placed in a position of authority. From this position, he was able to provide for his family in the time of famine. So also the overcomers will minister to the people of God in the time of tribulation.
